While "browner" woodtones have been most popular for years at the expense of Cherry and Mahogany, recently we have noticed a trend toward Sapele.  Sapele has the "red" of Mahogany, but more to the brown side.  Additionally - the ribbon cut version of Sapele can have
a bit of a shimmering figure - creating a very lively counter that literally changes color as you walk around it.
